IMC Chargers are state-of-the-art battery chargers specifically created for harsh marine environments. Their rugged design, configurable settings and revolutionary “man-machine” interface establish the new standard by which all others will be measured. The IMC Series features Universal AC Input with automatic configuration that accepts 50Hz or 60Hz input frequency and 90 to 265 VAC input voltage, and four (4) bank programmable DC Output with independent 12/24 VDC selection. The intuitive user menu allows for fast configuration of battery voltage (12 or 24 VDC), as well as battery type (Lead Acid, AGM, Gel Cell, NiCad), on each individual bank.
In addition, the charging output amperage may be adjusted on any bank to accommodate lower amperage requirements of a specific on-board electrical system; such as the bow thruster and/or windlass compartments.
These highly programmable chargers benefit OEM and aftermarket customers alike with the ability to reduce stocking levels and inventory requirements while providing maximum charging and installation flexibility. No longer will multiple battery chargers be required for a single system installation.
IMC Series chargers will be offered in six (6) amperage models: 20A, 40A, 60A, 80A, 100A, and 120A, in three different case sizes. A scrolling repeater and full-function remote display will also be offered.
The attached pricing schedule is very competitive when compared to the cost savings that can be achieved by installing one IMC Series Battery Charger verses two conventional style battery chargers.
The Charles Engineering Team has worked tirelessly to develop this “first-of-its-kind” battery charger series. All will be made with pride in our U.S. manufacturing centers. IMC Series Battery Chargers are also Power Factor Controlled (PFC) and meet the new U.S., Canadian and UK power requirements. Marine UL Listing, ABS, FCC and CE certifications are pending, with scheduled product releases beginning Q1 2011.
